  3. All changes or cancellation of bookings must be made in writing. If you cancel your booking before the final balance is due, you will lose your deposit.
  4. If you change or cancel your booking between 28 and 15 days before the course start date, a cancellation charge of 50% is due.

  8. Students cannot join their course if full payment has not bee received by Orchard Home Tuition, and the funds are cleared.
  9. You must take out appropriate insurance. Orchard Home Tuition and its teachers do not provide insurance cover for you, and it is a condition of booking that you obtain your own personal travel insurance for cancellation, accident, illness, injury, loss of property, theft or any accidental damage to property caused by you to the property of others.  It is an explicit condition of enrolment that students accept full responsibility for any damage caused by them to the teachers’ property during the course.
  10. Neither Orchard Home Tuition nor any of its representatives (including drivers, teachers and host families) are responsible for the students’ personal possessions. Neither do they accept responsibility for any injury or damage loss, delay or accident during the course, or as a result of activities they take part in during their stay, or whilst travelling to and from the teachers home.
  11. Orchard Home Tuition reserves the right to terminate the course and expatriate students in the case of theft, any criminal offence, anti-social or unacceptable behaviour (see Student Behaviour Policy), or following the discovery of any serious health problems, contagious illness, mental and/or physical handicap not disclosed at the time of booking.  Expatriation is at the students (or parents) own costs and without refund of fees.
  12. If a Young Learner breaches the teacher’s household rules, we reserve the right to terminate the course and repatriate at the parent’s expense.
  13. Orchard Home Tuition reserves the right to change your allocated teacher before or during the course. Orchard Home Tuition reserves the right to organise a homestay with one family and lessons with an outside teacher, in the unusual event that a teacher family cannot be found.
  14. Lessons missed by students due to illness or absence (including arriving late for lessons) will not be refunded.
  15. Any problems must be reported to Orchard Home Tuition during the course in the UK. Orchard Home Tuition cannot accept any retrospective claim or complaint. All complaints will be dealt with during the course and if necessary, we will move the student to a new teacher and family with a minimum of disruption.  Notification of any problem is the sole responsibility of the student.
