The Orchard Home Tuition Young Learner Programme provides a safe environment for children to learn and improve their English language skills. The teacher will encourage students to join in with everyday life, providing ample opportunity for the student to be totally immersed in to British life and culture.

Expert English Teachers
All of our teachers are qualified to teach English as a foreign language. Many have taught English all of their lives and others have retrained following successful careers in business in various industries and sectors. They are knowledgeable about British culture and enjoy sharing their home and experience with students.



Dianne had a very successful career as a primary school teacher and then worked at an OFSTED Inspector for the local authority. Since taking early retirement, Dianne has continued to teacher English as a foreign language.

Dianne now combines her passion for teaching and being hospitable to all of her guests.

Dianne lives a short distance from the town of Cheltenham, and is in an excellent location for visiting The Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Dianne’s hobbies include history, astronomy, antiques, visiting museums, architecture, and growing her own vegetables.



Linda is a very experienced teacher who had a long career as a primary school teacher and as a head teacher. She now combines providing home tuition with training teachers overseas in countries such as China, Kazakhstan and St Lucia.

Linda enjoys charity work and has worked in orphanages in Romania providing English courses.

Linda lives in the historical town of Warwick, which is home to one of the most renowned castles in England.


Christine & Terry

Christine and Terry are experienced teachers of English. Before becoming a teacher of English Christine had a career as a Primary school teacher and later a Probation Officer. Terry was an Architect and a Reseach & Development Manager.

They live in the historical town of Stratford-upon-Avon. They have 2 grown up daughters and 4 grandchildren who live nearby, and visit Christine & Terry daily after school.



Bel is a very experienced teacher based in the Cotswolds. Bel loves to show students around the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. She also has a holiday home nearby so can cater for families wishing to travel together and learn English.

Before becoming an English teacher, Bel, had a very successful career as an Occupational Therapist. She took early retirement from the NHS and has been teaching English for over 10 years.
