Become part of the a traditional British farming family on a Farmstay England programme. This total immersion experience allows you to live with a farming family and take part in farm activities; visit local towns and markets; cook and bake with the host mother and explore the British countryside.


All of our farmstay hosts are very welcoming, and part of a true rural farming community.

The Farmstay England programme provides lots of opportunities to practice your English Language speaking and listening skills.  There are no formal English lessons but your host family will help you with fluency, vocabulary and idioms.

An Experience

On the Farmstay England programme you will become part of a traditional British farming family, the typical activities you may experience (depending on the time of year) are fruit picking, baking, jam making, gardening, feeding farm animals, haymaking, collecting eggs, checking livestock, visit the local cattle market, move livestock to new pasture, milking cows, visit agriculture shows.

A Beautiful Location

All of our Farmstay England hosts are based around the beautiful rural area of Herefordshire. You may also experience (depending on time of year) the delights of visiting village fetes, flower festivals, local farm shops, WI (Women’s Institute), craft groups, local church social events, young farmers meetings and events, the historical towns of Ludlow, Hereford and Hay-on-Wye.


There are various activities available locally where an additional cost is involved. For example, pony trekking, paint balling and activity centres. All of our Farmstay England hosts are very welcoming, and if you have a specific interest that is available locally, they will try their best to arrange it for you. However, there may be an additional charge for such activities.


  • Fees per week (minimum age 14yrs unless accompanied by an adult)
  • £875 (Sunday to Saturday – 6 nights) per person
  • Additional night accommodation can be arranged subject to availability for £70 per night.
